Day 14
Truly, played around all day--not literally but figuratively. Played most for fun, revisited some S1, played all current, lots of Christmas stuff, elevator, various Wohl1. Didn't further number 2 in Wohl., but it was worth it just having a day to just play. Oh, I guess close to 3hrs....
I was kickin at a few points. And after Alex1, I'm not kicking tail on Double Bach, but I have noticed some nice improvement--if not in my hurried typing and resulting typos. I did some long slow -real slow - bowing to start focusing on sound-point control--not a lot...
Also, I readjusted my shoulder rest, and raise the outside. I'm thinking I like this, and was simply being really nicely consistent applying more strength on G/D. And also tonight, I read around S3 and 4, tinkered just, a little. Listened to Some Mahler--very nice, listened ot Double Bach earlier--grinned, listened to Mintz on Sibelius. I liked both Mintz and the Sibelius.
The Mahler, just flowed around one's presence without being pretentious, but not fading away either. Some step up from some gentleness that would otherwise define background music, the piece was also distinctive in it's subtlty. Really wonderful and interesting enough to legato out with.
